The women explained that they were performing a ritual to stop the scarecrows from attacking their farms down south by the Wizard of Wines. Arvie flew closer so he could speak with them.

The deal was struck, and the companions headed out for Krezk.Īround midday, as the companions approached a bridge over the Raven River, they spotted a group of young women dancing around a bonfire on the sandy beach. The next morning, they ate brunch at the Wachterhaus, where Remy promised to court Fiona Wachter’s daughter, Stella, if she would loan the companions a carriage and some horses to pull it.
They finally got a decent rest at the church of Saint Andral, even if Father Lucian could only offer humble cots to sleep on. It had been a long time since the companions had slept so well. The coachman agreed to come pick them up in Krezk two days from now.

Arvie noted the coachman’s strong angular face, thin nose, a lofty domed forehead, and raven-black hair turning grey round the temples his skin was pale, his ears slightly pointed, and his fingernails long and sharp. Arvie flew out there and talked with the coachman, gave him a magic ring as a token of good faith, and promised that they’d join Strahd for dinner in two nights’ time. Lady Wachter told the companions after they’d read the letter that Strahd’s carriage awaited them just outside the east gate. The letter was written in Strahd’s hand and extended an invitation to the companions to come to Castle Ravenloft.īaron Vallakovich turned away from the companions and addressed his citizens: “All will be well!” And he ordered the festivities to continue. Then she presented them with Strahd’s letter. She told the baron and his men to stand down, and pardoned the adventurers in the name of Lord Strahd himself. Then Lady Wachter herself appeared from out of the crowd, her two miserable sons following close behind her. Izek looked almost excited to start some bloodshed. He ordered a detachment of guards to march down to the Vistani camp and exterminate them once and for all.Īrvie flew off to warn the Vistani while Cato cast a minor illusion of a voice among the crowd of townsfolk claiming it was they who’d laughed earlier. The wind carried with it the faint sound of Vistani music-guitars, fiddles, an accordion, and lots of joyful singing. After Friar Kay snorted laughter at the baron’s torch going out, he and his companions were accused of malicious unhappiness, and the baron’s guards were ordered to arrest them and throw them into the stocks. There are a few different locations specific to my campaign, as well as bonus locations like Landmarks and Regions from the Curse of Strahd Reloaded series by u/DragnaCarta, and the Fanes and Fidatov Manor from the Fleshing Out Curse of Strahd series by u/mandymod. I did not include any main floor maps for Castle Ravenloft, since there are so many versions available and most of them are paid supplements.
In some cases there are multiple variations for one location. These are the many battle maps I have gathered over the course of my Curse of Strahd campaigns thus far, found mostly by digging on google and reddit. SPECIFIC LOCATION MAPS and RANDOM ENCOUNTER battle maps can be found HERE.
